Plainly: we contact you about the thing you asked us about, and you can stop it at any time in one click. This page sets out what we send and how to turn it off.

What we send

  • A reply to your enquiry. If you submit a finance or valuation enquiry, someone will contact you by phone or email about it, usually within one business day. This is the whole point of the enquiry and we treat it as the reason you gave us your details.
  • Follow-up on an open enquiry. If we cannot reach you, or we are waiting on something from you, we may follow up a small number of times over the following couple of weeks. Then we stop.
  • Saved-search alerts, only if you set one up. These tell you when new stock matching your search appears. Every alert email has an unsubscribe link.
  • Occasional market updates, only if you opt in. Things like price movements in a category you have searched. Never more than monthly.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell or rent your contact details to anyone.
  • We do not pass your details to dealers. If you want to talk to a dealer, you contact them through the link on their listing.
  • We do not send you marketing for unrelated products.
  • We do not keep emailing you after you unsubscribe.

Consent

When you submit an enquiry, you are consenting to us contacting you about that enquiry and about equipment finance. That is inferred consent under the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) and it is limited to that subject. Anything beyond it — alerts, market updates — needs you to opt in separately, and we ask.

How to stop hearing from us

Any of these works, and none of them requires you to explain yourself:

  • Click unsubscribe at the bottom of any email we send.
  • Reply STOP to any SMS.
  • Tell whoever calls you that you would rather not be contacted again.
  • Email contact@findequipment.com.au and ask us to remove you.

We action unsubscribe requests immediately and in any case within five working days, which is the maximum the Spam Act allows. If something still arrives after that, tell us — it is a fault, not a tactic.

One exception worth flagging: if you have an active finance application with us, we may still need to contact you about that specific application even after you unsubscribe from marketing, because we have obligations to keep you informed about it. Ask us to close the application and that stops too.

Phone calls

If you give us a phone number in an enquiry, we will call you about it. We do not cold-call. If you are on the Do Not Call Register, that does not prevent us calling you about an enquiry you made — but tell us not to call and we will not.

Getting the wrong messages

If you are receiving messages meant for someone else, or you never made an enquiry, email contact@findequipment.com.au and we will find out how the address got into our system and remove it.

Our privacy policy covers what we collect and who we disclose it to, including which lenders see a finance enquiry. Our terms of use cover the rest.

Draft for review. Written to the structure the Spam Act 2003 and the Do Not Call Register Act expect, but not reviewed by a lawyer. Have compliance confirm the consent and follow-up rules before you switch any outbound messaging on.
